WINTER QUEEN Was a Spring-Time Hit With Kindle Teens

Today we get to hear from the award-winning bestselling author, Amber Argyle. Her book, Winter Queen, hit the number 3 spot in the Teens and Young Adult section of the Amazon Kindle store on April 11th. Winter Queen is the first book in Amber's Fairy Queens series.

First, please tell us what Winter Queen is about.

Becoming a winter queen will make Ilyenna as cold and cruel and deadly as winter itself, but it might be the only way to save her people from a war they have no hope of winning.

Tell us about your path to publication: Traditional or independent? Recently or further in the past?

My first book (Witch Song) was traditionally published. A couple years later, I bought my rights back and all of my books since have been indie published.

What top factors do you believe put your e-book where it is now?

Quality covers/content and marketing.

As you got into e-publishing, have you discovered unexpected things?

Giving away free books actually earns you money. Who would have guessed. On that note, you can have Witch Fall free simply by signing up for my newsletter.

What does your writing schedule look like? What are you working on now?

I write while my youngest is in Kindergarten. Right now, I'm working on a prequel to Winter Queen entitled, Of Ice and Snow.

Time to pull out your Magic 8 Ball: How do you see the world of e-publishing developing for children and young adults over the next 5 years?

I believe we're going to see a lot more children reading ebooks through subscription services.
